I'd strongly advise against that.

1. Coilovers don't like snow.

2. It's probably a half assed swap.

3. It probably sounds like a weed whacker.

4. There are about 10 others.

I'm still looking around. I'd offer him $800 if I went with this option. Definitely would change the muffler if it has one of those 4" Ebay ones

Find a 90's Subaru with selectable AWD it's the best of both worlds; 40-ish mpg in FWD, Subaru AWD when you need it. This is of course assuming you live in the snow belt, if not disregard...

I do live in the snow belt but no Subaru is selling for cheap that's operational. I think a Saturn would do me justice. Whatever I get will possibly be gone by spring when I've saved for something I actually want.

find yourself a 89-91 RT4WD, lift it, and you're golden. Pic related, my lifted '91 winter beater.

If I could find one of these my life would be complete. This is the car I'd keep forever. Too bad we don't really have those here.

I had to drive 3 hours and across 3 states to grab this one.

$800. It's pushing 300k and has the typical quarter rot, but mechanically, it's sound.
